Off to the market

There is nothing quite as delightful as shopping at a local market. In Bruges, this is possible almost every day. On Wednesday there is a food market on the Markt (Market Square) from 8.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. On Saturday (8.00 a.m.– 1.30 p.m.) the Zand Square and the Beursplein are taken over by a large food and general market (flowers, animals, clothing, etc.). And on Sunday, from 7.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m., you can visit the food and general market on the Veemarkt, near the Koningin Astridlaan in the Sint-Michiels district. Every morning (8.00 a.m.–1.30 p.m.) from Wednesday to Saturday, you can buy fresh fish and fish dishes at the Vismarkt (Fish Market).

Finally, during the weekends and on public holidays from mid-March to mid-November, you can browse at the second-hand and craft market along the Dijver (10.00 a.m.–6.00 p.m.).
