Formalities
Citizens of the European Union have access to unanticipated, urgent medical care in Belgium through their own national health insurance card/document. This care is given under the same conditions as for the local Belgian population and assures full or partial reimbursement of the medical costs. You can obtain this card from your own national health service. Please note, however, that every member of the family must have his/her own card/document.
