Nepomucenusbrug (Nepomucenus Bridge)
The Nepomucenus Bridge may be a bit of a tongue-twister, but the bridge boasts a statue of the patron saint of bridges. A case of protecting the bridge against possible collapse. Nepomucenus protects against drowning and flooding. It so happened that the saint’s statue was thrown into the canal by persons unknown at the end of the 18th century, but happily, he was soon resurrected and back on his pedestal. Don’t forget to take a moment to enjoy the Dijver panorama! And have you seen the tower of the Church of Our Lady?
