Hof Sebrechts
Despite its grand entrance, this has always been a park for people in the know. A monastery garden for many centuries, and later a private garden where surgeon and university professor Joseph Sebrechts let his gardener have his way. That meant peaches, chicory, melons and three greenhouses for grapes. The garden is now owned by the city, and the fruit and vegetable gardens have been replaced by a pleasant playground lined with inventive picnic benches.
