Guido Gezellewarande
Just a stone’s throw from the Vesten, in the peaceful Sint-Anna neighbourhood, you’ll suddenly come across the Guido Gezellewarande. A delightful small park near a charming garden district, named for one of Flanders’ most famous poets, who grew up around here. Until the early 20th century this area was given over to market gardens, where the father of Guido Gezelle once worked as a gardener. There are a few benches, some children’s play equipment and, often, the chance to enjoy some peace on your own.
