Blinde-Ezelbrug (Blind Donkey Bridge)
The Blind Donkey Bridge is another photogenic favourite. Unsurprisingly, as the neighbouring bridges, the Meebrug and Peerdenbrug, are also very special. Behind you lies the entrance to Burg Square, ahead of you is the Vismarkt (Fish Market) and the Huidenvettersplein (Tanners Square). If you turn around through 360º on the bridge, it’s hard to take it all in. Not a single false note, just a feast for the eyes. It’s impossible to count all the towers. The bridge owes its name to the blind donkey that, according to legend, was used to turn a horse mill here.
