Baron Ruzettepark (Baron Ruzette Park)

With ‘Colonnade’ by Gijs Van Vaerenbergh, created for Triennial Bruges 2021, this park along the inner ring road was given a major boost. Lose yourself in the rust-coloured maze of columns and experience the sense of philosophical stillness created by this work of art. The rail sleepers scattered in the grass are a nod to a former shunting station. Baron Albéric, the former Minister of Agriculture and Public Works who gave his name to the park, would surely have loved it. Step a little further into the greenery and it is quite possible that you will encounter delicious food smells. Between April and September, the public barbecue along the waterfront of the Vlotkom is the perfect excuse for summertime fun. Do It Yourself with a tasty piece of meat and a companion of your choice.
