Besides to the numerous shops that offer a variety of beers, you can also visit one of the two active breweries in the inner city of Bruges or a micro-brewery just outside the city center where you can enjoy one of the local beers.
Brewery De Halve Maan
The brewery De Halve Maan is a family-run brewery. Every day they are offering guided tours in Dutch, French and English. A tour in German is also possible on demand.
During the tour you’ll get to know the old and new beer making processes and after climbing up a few steep stairs you will be rewarded with a great view from the top of the building.
After the tour you’ll have the chance to try one of the local beers: Brugse Zot.
Brugse Zot is a blond beer. However, this beer is also available in a brown version: Brugse Zot Dubbel. It is a bit heavier and gives the beer a bitter note.
Besides Brugse Zot, the brewery is also brewing another beer: Straffe Hendrik.
This beer is rich of taste and flavours of malt and hop. All in all the series consists of a golden triple, a brown quadruple and the limited editions of Heritage and Wild.
If you just feel like having a beer or some lunch, the brewery does also have very nice seating areas.
Whether you would like to have a nice view over the canals, a cozy place by a fireplace or a pleasant seat on a beautiful terrace, you will definitely find a place there!

Brewery Bourgogne des Flandres
If you are interested into the Flemish beer blending tradition the brewery Bourgogne des Flandres is worth a visit!
During this beer making process old and young beer will be mixed together as long as a perfect balance is achieved.
The brewery is also offering tours where you’ll get your own audio guide and which allows you a leisurely walk through the brewery on your own without being in a rush.
After the tour you can enjoy a beer in a relaxed atmosphere on one of the most beautiful terrace you can find in Bruges. It is just next to the canal and you’ll have a wonderful view in the middle of the city for sure.

Brewery Fort Lapin
After a short walk from the city center you can find a micro-brewery, the brewery Fort Lapin.
The brewery produces different craft beers like Fort Lapin Double 6, Fort Lapin Quadrupel 10, Hoplapin and many more.
If you would like to get to know something about the history of the brewery and if you want to learn more about the beer making process of Fort Lapin, a tour around the brewery will be the right choice for you.
Guided tours in Dutch, French or English are offered every Saturday between 2 and 6pm.
After the tour you will be offered two different craft beers which you can in a very lovely and cozy tasting room.
